The legend of Chanel is engraved in our minds, the sleek and minimal black on white with gold accents never gets old, much like all of Chanels pieces-timeless and classic. A girls best friend is a pair of Chanel pumps and the signature quilted handbag. With my love for Chanel fashion aside, I was over the moon when I heard of the exhibition inspired by the legacy of Coco Chanel , Coco Chanel’s Madmoiselle Privee was to open in the Saatchi Gallery in London (read all about it here).

After seeing these images and the press launch with all the fabulous designers head to toe in Karl Largerfeld attire, I had an itch to create a Chanel inspired home, much to the dismay of my husband. On my journey to create this dream home of mine I gathered a few inspirational images of what I believe to be spaces inspired by Chanel’s signature style, and homes that I think Coco herself wouldn’t mind living in.

Chanel’s signature colors are black, white and gold and I love the gold accents in furniture, a vintage yet sophisticated look. A more modern take on the Chanel vibe, these interiors are still very Chanel-esque with the block monochrome colours and crisp clean lines.

To Chanel or not to Chanel?
