The world of design is changing and we are moving more into the digital world, everything around can be controlled from our smartphones, tablets etc. This constant growth into a cyber-world can be every so confusing sometimes, so I’ve narrowed down some of the new innovative tech gadgets that I think will be huge this year.
Branded by the slogan ”Play the people who play the world”, Sound of Power have created an entirely new concept to wireless speakers. With characters from Margaret Thatcher to Vladimir Putin, this innovative speaker not only looks unique, but also offers distinct performance and sound quality.
From Electric Objects comes this beautifully crafted digital art frame that changes images and can be controlled straight from your smartphone. This invention, however simple it may seem brings a whole new dimension to wall art, creating ambiences and different moods through art, at the swipe of your fingertips.
Perhaps not groundbreaking, this concept by ThreadStax, is their take on organizing and making the inside of your wardrobe look good and not just serve a purpose. Space saving is something we all need in our closets, (another excuse to buy even more clothes!), plus the idea of coordinating your outfits by category, color or even day of the week is genius in my book!
This little gadget is by far one of my favorites of the bunch. Named the Kangaroo Light, this portable and interactive light which connects straight to your smartphone redefines the way we use light today. With a magnitude of ways to use it, the Kangaroo Light is such an interesting and maybe underestimated invention that we all should take a look at.
The Smart Herb Garden from Click and Grow not only looks good, but is so low maintenance you will never have a dying plant on your hands ever again. With a wide variety of plant capsules available from their online store you can personalize your indoor garden how you wish with little effort, just plug it in and add water and let it do the rest. The technology behind it is fascinating, you have to read it to believe it.
Digital art can also be personalized in the kitchen. Kitchens are now becoming more and more stylish rather than just practical rooms. This glass artwork splash-back board can be modified to suit whatever image you wish, German kitchen manufacturers ALNO have really done well with this one.
Meet Aromax, the new aromatherapy diffuser for the home. With an array of colors to suit any interior, this aesthetically pleasing object blends into the space unobtrusively. Gone are the days where the cheap supermarket air diffusers sit on your cabinet spurting harsh sprays of odor. This new diffuser silently adjusts the scent output to revitalize the air in the space.
I have saved this until last as it speaks out to me in so many ways, I had to finish this post with a bang. Portable coffee on the go, whenever you want it, wherever you want it? Minipresso. Nothing more needs to be said.
Hope you’ve enjoyed reading what’s new in the tech world, keep a look out for more New In topics next week!
