Shop The Look: Tableware Glamour

unnamed

Shopping for tableware and crockery is my guilty pleasure. I love a good mug, a quirky dish or brand new cutlery set. Besides braking them while being a clumsy idiot, I do try to take care of my tableware and think of them as an investment as they can be pretty pricey. I have gathered a few of my favourite designs for all tastes for you to shop the look for your next dinner party. Check back here soon for a post on how to decorate your table for an event!

MODERN DAY CHINA-WARE

China ware has a tendency to get a bad reputation, reminding you of your grandma’s crockery cabinet but not any more. This collection featured here by cocolapinedesign is how you do modern day china ware.

GO MINIMAL

If you prefer to make the food be the highlight of the party and don’t really care what your dishware looks like, I recommend this set from Crate & Barrel. Durable and minimal.

GO HANDMADE

This is something I would love to have. However being the most expensive out of them all, this isn’t very practical if you have a lot of guests around as you will need plenty, but they are so beautiful to look at, I can’t help myself. This particular collection by Lindsay Emery is a wonderful handmade porcelain collection.

GO CLASSIC

Villeroy & Boch are one of, if not the most famous brand for kitchenware. This collection I mentioned about here is still on my radar list and will be getting it come springtime.

GO SCANDINAVIAN

There is somthing about the northerners that make them so unique in their sense of design and fashion. This collection be Broste Copenhagen is no exception.

GO SHABBY CHIC

Shabby chic is a trend that is still popular to this day. Cath Kidston does a great range of dishware that perfectly matches the shabby chic description.

GO QUIRKY & FUN

Finally but not at all least, Anthropologie is the best for making your table look as fun as possible. Mix match dishes with beautiful prints and colours is another expensive one, but absolutely worth it.
