onlineshopping

When it comes to online shopping for homeware, it can be a somewhat daunting task. Personally I love online shopping for everything besides homeware. To actually feel the material, see the colours and analyze the object before buying in store is so much easier, plus as an interior designer- it’s an excuse to do what I love which is go homeware shopping. This can be difficult for those who live in areas with no access to decent homeware. The solution? Online home shopping. This guide will help you figure out the different price points of each site, where to buy what and all with knowing that they offer worldwide shipping. I know how rough it is when you finally find the item you desire, only to see that it’s US-Shipping only.

£££ HIGH-END/DESIGNER

Safavieh: By far the most luxurious in terms of design and price, Safavieh is great if you want to splurge on that one unique item that NOBODY else has.

Kelly Wearstler: Kelly’s picks of furniture and accessories is so well thought out and beautiful, it’s hard not to be tempted by her site.

Westwing: A site that I check on a near daily basis for that missing piece for my home. Westwing’s selection of items are exquisite, the site is to die for and you can find just about anything you need, for any taste.

££ GOOD QUALITY VS. PRICE POINT

Urban Outfitters: Trendy, chic and a little boho, urban outfitters thrives on its great quality and decent price point.

Minted: A site I only recently discovered, born in the US but ships worldwide, it has a wonderful range of things from independant artists from all around the globe.

Etsy: Etsy is great for unique, hand-crafted accessories for the home. Most sellers ship worldwide and the quality is usually spoken for in the craftsmanship.

Muji: Storage and organizational freaks like myself love Muji. It’s clean and minimalist style is great for those everyday necessities. A great place to start.

Crate & Barrel: Very understated, and perhaps the underdog of all the online retailers, I love their comfy and warming homeware.

£ AFFORDABLE AND ON-TREND

IKEA: The swedish giant is the best place to find EVERYTHING for those on a budget. Their game is getting stronger on the trend front too.

H&M Home: Accessories only, but at a great price point for what they are. H&M never fails in my book.

Wayfair: Wayfair is an immense online retailer which offers you the best of both worlds, a little bit of everything and always in fashion.

Zara Home: Last but certainly not least, Zara Home is my guilty pleasure. Just walk into one of their stores and you’ll know what I mean. I lust over practically everything.
